Bresette Launches Debra Winkler Direct Mail Campaign

June 2004- Portsmouth, NH- Bresette + Company, Inc. is proud to announce the successful launch of a direct mail campaign for Debra Winkler Personal Search. Debra Winkler is an exclusive, highly personalized matchmaking agency, catering to the needs and expectations of today's affluent professionals. The company is based out of Beverly Hills with several other offices in California, including Indian Wells, Irvine, and Sacramento. Additional offices are located in Portland, Oregon, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

In June of 2004, Bresette began dialogue with Debra Winkler’s current proprietor, Scott Benson. Mr. Benson expressed the desire to enhance his current marketing strategy. It was agreed that a direct mail promotion would initially be the most effective method. The target audience was to be 70% women and 30% men, aged 35-60 years old, with annual income ranging from $100k-$500k. Geographically, Mr. Benson wanted to target three California areas: Orange County, Los Angeles Valley, and the greater Los Angeles metropolitan region. The mailing consisted of 15,000 total pieces distributed over a five week period, leaving each region with 1,000 mailings per week. Claire Montgomery, one of Bresette’s account managers had this to say, “We were real excited to get the opportunity to work on this mailing. It was a geography and industry we weren’t real experienced with and offered a great learning opportunity.” Jamie Randazzo, Bresette’s Senior Art Director adds, “The project offered a great deal of freedom. It gave us the chance to really utilize our creative capabilities.”

After an agreement was reached, Bresette began the production process. This included selecting and purchasing appropriate mailing lists for the target areas, and designing a classy, professional looking piece that would embody the upscale Debra Winkler image. After consideration, a two part formal invitation was designed. The first card was a description of the Debra Winkler Personal Search service, with the cover reading, “It’s not rocket science, it’s romance.” On the inside it continues, “Which, as you know, can be far more difficult than rocket science.” The second card was a promotional offering a $100 certificate to a leading Beverly Hills retailer. A recipient had to either call, or briefly fill out and send their personal information to receive their free personal consultation. A paid postage envelope was included. Bresette’s President and COO, Josh Bresette, comments, “We were real pleased with the launch, it should provide an excellent foundation for future opportunities with Debra Winkler.”
